Mercy Seat Assembly is a church founded in January 2001 to serve as an innovative spiritual center in the North Atlanta Metropolitan area. Mercy Seat is a multicultural ministry that offers spiritual and educational empowerment via a plethora of programs and initiatives designed to bring individuals into a saving redemptive relationship with Jesus the Christ. By developing ministries to families we are permeating every facet of society. Mercy Seat Assembly takes serious the mandate to cultivate the whole man by partnership with national and local non-profit groups to build a coalition of change agents. Mercy Seat Assembly reclaims, revives and rebuilds communities with supportive services via collaborative efforts targeting families, youth, senior citizens, ex-offenders, the homeless population, persons with disabilities, and micro-enterprises. Community empowerment and self-determination are strong components of Mercy Seat Assembly programming. Our approach to addressing the issues plaguing communities is to call forth the strength of the communities and build from the inside out versus outside in. Mercy Seat Assembly seeks to meet the needs of communities through three immediate goals: empower, equip, and enlist.
A Power Church
The objective of Mercy Seat Assembly programming is to empower, equip and enlist the Atlanta community by offering assistance to new businesses via micro-enterprise development and to community residents by: increasing computer literacy, providing vocational training and job placement resources, developing youth entrepreneurial programs, providing personal/social development, providing affordable housing as well as housing for the working class, and providing access to new technology and the internet.
